Liberia, located in Western Africa, is officially known as the Republic of Liberia. It is a member of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). It is the 2nd largest maritime licenser in the world. The business sector of Liberia is highly dominated by foreigners, especially from Libya and India. Agricultural products of the country are coffee, cocoa, rice, sugarcane, cassava, palm oil and bananas. Livestock are raised including sheep and goats. Liberia also has deposits of natural resources including iron ore, gold, diamonds, barite and kyanite. Main industries are rubber processing, palm oil processing and diamonds. |
